[Yujin has absolutely no practice with the journal system whatsoever and especially since he's had his hands full, it takes him a little while to realize he's being contacted at all.]

Yes, I'm here. Is something the matter?

[He regrets the question immediately after he's written it down. There's no way Susato would have missed Van Zieks's very public warning about Kazuma.]

[ She sure didn't! She has to take a moment to steady her hand yet again once the relief at receiving a reply settles. ]

Something has happened between Lord van Zieks and Kazuma-sama. At the very least, Lord van Zieks has been hurt

[ Maybe Kazuma too. ]

Can you help?

[Yep, she absolutely didn't miss a beat. He wouldn't have expected any less from her.]

There's no need for concern on Lord Van Zieks's behalf. I am already tending to his wounds. He will recover just fine. [He won't say anything about Kazuma, though, because... Well. He can't.]

[ Likewise, she shouldn't have expected any less from her father. If she was relieved before, she's doubly-so now, though she's still trying to push Kazuma's fate out of her mind. ]

That's wonderful! Where are you? Do you need any of your supplies?

Oh, no, thank you. I have all that I need, I believe. And it would be best for you to stay home, where it's safe.

[He fully expects an objection in three, two, one...]

[ Objection! ... Susato only reads about half-way through his message before she's gritting her teeth in frustration -- the second no she's heard. ]

While you're out there? Please!

Lord van Zieks wouldn't tell me anything either and I'm not sure what else to do.

[ Do you see all the >:( mad faces? Do you? Well, they're there. ]

[Eesh. On the one hand, he doesn't want Susato to see all the damage that Kazuma has done. On the other hand, he knows that if he doesn't give her something else to do, she may try and find Kazuma by herself.]

Alright. Then, you may join myself and Lord van Zieks. I'll try and explain our location to you.

[Cue some very hazy description! On the bright side, the longer it takes Susato to find their location, the more time Yujin has to patch Van Zieks up.]

[ There's a lot of back-and-forth that Susato does not like at all. She can already tell there's going to be trial and error here, but--well, it's what she signed up for after all. She takes a deep breath. ]

I promise I will not get in your way. You're certain you have everything you need?

[professorbestie]

Yes. [A pause, then he adds:] Perhaps you might bring some fresh water.

Understood!

[ That is the last he will hear from Susato until she arrives. Random abandoned building in the middle of nowhere...
